About Orlando Counseling Services, LLC

Our Story

Orlando Counseling Services opened in 2019 as a solo practice built around a single conviction: that the people of this region deserve care that starts with the human experience, not the symptom list. Almost nothing explicitly-existentially grounded existed in the area, so we built it. The practice grew into a group practice in 2023, and as of 2026 we are both a group practice and a licensed peer support facility.

Why Waynesburg? Partly love, partly homage. Greene County's hills echo the foothills of the Adirondacks where our founder grew up, and the community here is the kind you fall for: genuine, rooted, and underserved in ways it never deserved to be. We planted the practice here on purpose, to honor where we come from and to bring this county a kind of care it did not have.

What Our Logo Means

Every piece of our logo is a statement about what healing is.

What You Will Notice

Within your first ten minutes here, three things should be true. You feel seen and heard, not processed. The energy in the room is collaborative and invested: you are working alongside someone, not being worked on. And the person across from you has walked their own path of turning suffering into wisdom, which makes the relationship genuine. Genuine relationship is where healing actually happens.

One Organization, Many Doors

Orlando Counseling Services is built on a simple conviction: there is no single door into healing. Some people need a licensed therapist. Some need someone who has lived it. Some need care to come to them, in a school hallway or a community space. So we built CLAREA, our therapy practice; RISE, our licensed peer support facility; and programs that carry care into the places people actually live their lives. Different doors. Same belief: your truth deserves to be heard.

A Letter From The Founder

“Orlando Counseling Services, LLC began because I believe the helping professions forgot something essential: the person in front of you is the expert on their own life. Every program we run, every clinician and peer specialist we bring on, every decision we make is measured against one question: does this honor the dignity and freedom of the person we serve? When the answer is yes, we know that our clients will begin to move in the direction of healing. That is our core philosophy.”
